Welcome to McDaniel College. We are excited to share with you information about our Graduate and Professional Studies programs. We have a variety of graduate and certificate programs to meet your professional needs. Graduate students at McDaniel grow professionally and personally, improve their career skills and develop new ones. Through our on-campus or off-campus programs, whether online or in person, our administrators, faculty and staff look forward to serving and meeting your needs.
All of our highly-respected programs in education have received unconditional accreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), an unprecedented recognition. The evaluations from these two organizations confirmed what we already knew: McDaniel College offers the best education programs in Maryland. Indeed, over the last four years, two of our graduates have been named one of four national finalists in the Outstanding Teacher award, and one of our graduates was named Outstanding National Teacher of the Year.
We do more than prepare teachers, administrators, counselors, and a host of educational specialists. At McDaniel College you will also find professional programs in Exercise Science and Physical Education, Gerontology, Human Services Management, and Human Resources Development. Do you want to be a writer? We have courses in Writing for Children and Young Adults taught by award winning authors. And in keeping with McDaniel’s historic mission as a college of the liberal arts and sciences, out Master of Liberal Arts Program provides a unique interdisciplinary approach to graduate education.
Our catalog is paperless, a reflection of our social responsibility. We have expanded off-campus offerings to make graduate education more accessible to educators throughout the state of Maryland and beyond. We have increased our online and hybrid instruction using state-of-the-art technology for students who need more flexibility with their busy schedules.
