EPS 3104 - Environmental Systems Analysis: GISCredits: 4 Systems modeling and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) are two critical quantitative analytical techniques used by environmental scientists, policy makers and economists in decision-making. Dynamic systems’ modeling allows investigators to analyze complex systems and predict behaviors. GIS technology investigates common database operations such as query and statistical analysis with the unique visualization and geographic analysis benefits offered by maps. Course includes laboratory. Prerequisites Environmental Policy and Science 1131 and Political Science and International Studies 2215 or with permission of the instructor for non-EPS majors.
