GRN 1101 - Introduction to Aging Studies

Credits: 4.00
This survey course examines the bio-psycho-social changes that result from the aging process and the implications of these changes for the individual as well as for the larger society. Utilizing a theoretical framework, students will examine changes experienced by older persons and come to understand how the experience of aging can be a positive process. The course integrates topics related to diversity, environmental influences, and application to everyday life as students complete a project aimed at increasing quality of later life.
