COM 2350 - Communication and Culture

Focusing on current communication issues, this course looks for ways to practically apply communication theory while bridging the gap between interpersonal & media theory traditions. Communication issues include topics such as how social media are used in various cultures; globalization of media; the history and cultural effects of political campaign ads; children’s television around the world; uses of video-sharing technology; internet dating; privacy and the internet.
