STEM Instructional Leadership (SIL) Post-Baccalaureate Certificate

The STEM Instructional Leadership Program prepares educators by developing a practical and foundational understanding of STEM education content and practices enabling them to take STEM leadership roles.  All work is job-embedded, building to the development and implementation of authentic, integrated inquiry- and design-based STEM learning experiences.

The program was developed in collaboration with the National Institute of Aerospace’s Center for Integrative STEM Education.

Admissions Requirements


  • Completed application for graduate study
  • Submit the non-refundable application fee
  • Official transcripts verifying completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.

Courses


Students interested in earning the McDaniel Post-Baccalaureate Certificate must complete the first five courses listed below (15 credits total).  Those not choosing to continue their studies with STM 506 will receive their Post-Baccalaureate Certificate at the start of the next term.

To earn the MSDE “Instructional Leader: STEM (PreK-6)” endorsement, students must remain active in the STEM Instructional Leadership Program and complete all six courses listed below (18 credits total).  At the conclusion of STM 506, students will receive the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate and MSDE Endorsement.
