FYS 1134 - Eureka: RevolutionaryCredits: 4 This course will explore several great revolutions in science and how they affected the world around them. Topics will include Darwin’s publication of Origin of the Species, Einstein’s theory of relativity, the discovery of the double helix, dark energy, and several other topics. What drove these revolutions? Were they entirely reliant on certain people or epiphanic moments, or would they have occurred anyway because their time had come? You will be the judge. McDaniel Plan: First-Year Seminar
