SLM 3317 - Children’s LiteratureCredits: 4 This course presents outstanding literature for children in grades kindergarten through sixth. Topics include authors and illustrators, fiction and nonfiction, principles of selection, and using literature in the classroom. Students read books, discuss them in class, identify strategies for encouraging students to read, and create an annotated bibliography of books appropriate for elementary school students. Prerequisites Education 1111 or Education 1141or permission of instructor.
