SED 504 - Classroom Management Credits: 3
This course provides a comprehensive overview of classroom management techniques with an emphasis on specific strategies to respond to problem behaviors in special and general educational settings. Topics include a wide variety of behavioral techniques grounded in operant conditioning theory that address individual as well as group behavior management with a focus on building positive, pro-social behaviors. This course equips candidates with skills to address individual needs of students or clients across a wide range of behaviors and to act as professional colleagues who encourage and support others teachers to invest in classroom management training and professional development.
