RSM 520 - Quantitative Methods


Credits: 2
This course will provide an overview of quantitative research methods, data types, populations and samples, sampling techniques, group and single subject designs, data reliability, research validity, and an introduction to basic quantitative analysis to include testing for relationships between interval (Pearson Correlation) and ordinal (Spearman Correlations) data sets, and testing for difference between groups of nominal (Chi-square) and interval data sets (Independent and Dependent t-tests). Students will leave this course with the skills necessary to read, understand, and critique most professional journal articles using quantitative research methods.
