GFT 505 - Best Practices in GFT II

Prerequisites GFT 504
This course builds upon the knowledge learned in Best Practices in Gifted Education I and emphasizes the design and development of classroom instruction differentiated for the unique needs of individuals with gifts and talents. Topics include curricular and instructional differentiation  strategies and trends in enrichment and acceleration practices. Candidates will demonstrate their understanding of evidence-based theories and models in gifted education by using the backward design process to develop an appropriately differentiated unit plan that they present to peers  for feedback and reflection.
