SWK 3320 - Action Methods in Social WorkCredits: 4 Action Methods in Social Work is designed for students who are interested in direct practice with individuals, groups, families and communities. Action Methods are at the heart of various types of relational therapies. They are a creative and effective intervention for creating insight and change in the “here and now”. Students will learn primarily “by doing”. By the end of the course, students will have developed a greater sense of empathy, enhanced their skills in active listening and have established a more purposeful use of self in the therapeutic relationship. Prerequisite(s) SWK 3322
