KIN 521 - Performance Assessment in Athletics Credits: 3 This course will examine the physiological and biomechanical tests used to evaluate and monitor athletic performance in various athletic populations. The reasons for testing, criteria for selecting the tests, reliability, validity, and interpretation of results will be addressed. A historical perspective on the use of these tests will be included. Practical use of test results for exercise prescription will be considered for improving athletic performance. Each candidate will develop a battery of tests for developing a physiological performance of a specific athletic population.
