KIN 543 - Legal Issues in Interscholastic Athletics

This course will examine an in-depth coverage of all aspects of liability and risk management in athletics. Topics include duties, documentation requirements, compliance issues, prevention of sexual harassment and hazing, disabilities legislation, employment and contract law. Candidates will develop a strategic plan for risk management that encompasses all 14 legal duties and complete a Title IX review of an athletic department.
