PDE 570 - Managing Student Behavior: School, Classroom & Individual Strategies Credits: 1 This course provides a comprehensive overview of school, classroom & individual strategies for managing student behavior for educators, K-12, with a focus on school-wide positive behavioral supports and specific management strategies for promoting and maintaining positive student behavior. Topics include classroom management principles; functional analysis of behaviors; data collection and evaluation of interventions; selecting interventions and behavior change procedures; legal issues; developing school-wide positive behavioral supports; management of antecedents and consequences, as well as cognitive behavior management techniques of student self-monitoring, self-evaluation, and self-instruction. This course will be beneficial to all educators.
