ITL 509 - Monitoring and Aligning Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Credits: 3 This course engages candidates in developing, selecting, analyzing, and evaluating comprehensive assessment systems that monitor student progress towards educational goals, curricular outcomes, and standards. Emphasis is placed on collection and integration of formative and summative data, analysis of available data, and engagement of stakeholders in planning and decision-making. Candidates will construct traditional and alternative forms of assessment, will develop an assessment philosophy, and will engage in strategic problem solving around assessment issues.
