RDG 522 - Literacy Instruction

This course examines theoretical and practical issues related to the design and implementation of a comprehensive literacy program. Candidates will critically analyze and implement developmentally appropriate instructional practices for phonemic awareness, phonics and word identification, comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. The course content addresses the organization and management of responsive, evidence-based reading instruction within the elementary school.
