RSM 505 - Survey and Measurement Credits: 1 This course will introduce students to the fundamental principles and best practices of designing surveys and other instruments for research. Students will learn how to translate a construct into an operational definition and explore the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches. Topics will include self-report surveys; behavioral observations; interviews; open-ended, forced choice, and other restricted response questions; understanding the audience completing the measure, as well as cognitive biases and response sets.
