ASL 535 - Methods of Teaching Deaf Culture Credits: 3 Prerequisites ASLPI ?3.0 and DED-569 The course addresses student-centered pedagogy relevant to various facets of American Deaf culture and its implications for instruction. Research indicates that when teachers integrate American Deaf culture into the course content, students become more actively engaged in learning. While this course is broad in scope, the primary aim is to empower candidates to implement effective teaching strategies that reflect cultural diversity of their students and the community.
