GFT 503 - Critical and Creative Thinking


Credits: 3
This course explores the historical and theoretical perspectives of Critical and Creative Thinking (CCT). Topics include research-based curricula and program models, as well as instructional strategies that foster the development of creative and critical thinking in individuals with gifts and  talents. Candidates will demonstrate their understanding of CCT theories and models by developing and reflecting upon lessons and assessments to challenge the critical and creative thinking of individuals with gifts and talents. They will synthesize CCT theory and practice by designing a  multi-media presentation to increase awareness of critical thinking and creative thinking strategies amongst teaching peers.
