GFT 501B - Foundations of Gifted Education: Identification

This course examines the characteristics of gifted learners and how we determine giftedness. Candidates will review their school district’s processes for identifying gifted learners and then develop an equity proposal to address equity concerns identified in the review. This course is aligned with the NAGC/CEC Teacher Preparation Standard 6. Professional Learning and Standard 4: Learning Environments.
