EDU 563 - Schoolwide Approach to Trauma Care

This course explores the importance of interprofessional schoolwide collaboration in advocating for students’ social and emotional well-being. Topics include an overview of mental health in schools, identifying and understanding school staff roles, and collaborating to promote learning. Candidates will interview school-based mental health professionals and revise instructional and classroom management plans to create a supportive and trauma-informed classroom or educational environment.
