ENV 4494 - ENV Senior Seminar

Credits: 4
This course serves as the required capstone to your studies and experiences as an Environmental Studies (ENV) major. Thus, the purpose of this course is to give you the opportunity to synthesize your accumulated knowledge and skills in ENV by individually undertaking a comprehensive evidence-based research project. This project will be completed over the semester in a scaffolded manner with each stage building on earlier stages. Your senior capstone project must include the collection and analysis of original or published data using research methods from the social and/or natural sciences. Much of our class time is reserved for your research, but there will be various meetings with your assigned lab groups and the instructor as well as two short talk presentations to elicit peer feedback. The capstone culminates with a professionally written synthesis paper and a public poster presentation in which you will share your project with the broader department and college communities.
Prerequisite(s) 85 earned credits
