SWK 2217 - SW & Marginalized Populations

This course provides an overview of social problems in the United States with a deeper exploration of their impact on vulnerable, marginalized, and oppressed populations, as well as generalist social work practice. Students will learn anti-oppressive and anti-racist frameworks within the profession and apply them to social problems. They will also examine the social, racial, economic, and environmental justice context of social problems in the United States.
