Credits: 2
A study in contrasts, Ireland is one of the most vibrant and dynamic countries in Western Europe. This 2-credit international travel course blends academic exploration with visits to renowned cultural sites in some of Ireland’s captivating cities. Because modern Ireland is a reflection of its past, students will explore Irish tradition, history, art, and culture. Students will also gain insight to current politics and business. Boasting a unique landscape and inspirational folklore, Ireland offers students the opportunity to explore and learn about its society within this unique country. Ireland is a magnet for the arts, exposing students to a diverse range of music, art, cuisine, and architecture. Through guided tours, students will have opportunities to build confidence and strengthen communication skills, flexibility, and independence. The objectives extend to expose students to another culture, broaden their horizons, deepen their understanding of Irish history, and gain a new perspective on Ireland’s influence on the world.

The SASS Coordinator of Special Programs and leader for this study trip must provide final approval for all registered students to participate. All students are welcome to register. Priority will be offered to students registered with SASS.
