PHY 1114 - General Physics I

Credits: 4
This course is the first in the two-semester, calculus-based, general physics sequence. The course will introduce students to kinematics and dynamic motion for linear, rotational, and oscillatory systems; concepts of energy and momentum; and wave phenomena, sound, and fluids. The laboratory component of the course (PHY 1014) is aimed at developing data  collection and analysis skills through a series of experiments in mechanics. The laboratory must be enrolled in separately.
