NUR 2103 - Fundamentals of Professional NursingCredits: 7 Fundamentals of Professional Nursing introduces the student to essential skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to clients with well -defined healthcare concerns. Students will develop beginning-level clinical judgement, and critical thinking through comprehensive assessments, and care planning along with implementation of basic nursing interventions. Emphasis is placed on client-centered care, cultural sensitivity, safety, therapeutic communication, and the importance of quality improvement. Prerequisite(s) Admission to the Nursing major.
