NUR 2104 - Pathopharmacology ICredits: 3 This course introduces the foundational knowledge and concepts of pathophysiology and pharmacology, focusing on the relationship between disease processes and pharmacotherapeutic interventions. Students will explore common alterations in normal human functioning and the corresponding pharmacological treatments, emphasizing safe and effective medication administration. The course also covers the nurse’s role in optimizing medication safety, client education, disease treatment, health promotion, and health counseling for individuals with diverse backgrounds. Prerequisite(s) Admission to the Nursing major. Successful completion of all 1st semester sophomore year nursing courses. Co-requisite NUR-2202
