NUR 3201 - Pathopharmacology II

Building on foundational knowledge and concepts, this course investigates complex pathophysiological conditions and advanced pharmacotherapeutics. Students will analyze disease processes affecting major body systems, focusing on how pharmacological interventions manage chronic and acute illnesses. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, developing clinical judgment and clinical decision-making, and interdisciplinary care for clients with multi-system health issues. The course also covers the nurse’s role in optimizing medication safety, client education, and health counseling for individuals with diverse backgrounds.
Prerequisite(s) Admission to the Nursing major. Successful completion of all sophomore year nursing courses.
