NUR 3105 - Leadership in NursingCredits: 3 Leadership in Nursing applies nursing content to the nurse’s role as a leader at the institutional, system, state, and national levels. This course provides an overview of healthcare policy, legislative and regulatory issues and responses, healthcare equity, and social justice in the healthcare system as they relate to the leadership role. Comparison between the USA and low- and middle-income countries selected by students will be emphasized to allow students the opportunity to relate their learning to their own educational and healthcare setting and develop a better understanding of how health policy and systems impact health and health equity. Prerequisite(s) Admission to the Nursing Major. Successful completion of all sophomore and 1st semester of junior year nursing courses. Co-requisite NUR-3204 and NUR-3205 McDaniel Plan: International
