NUR 4202 - Adult Health Nursing III

Building on previously learned content this advanced course prepares students to manage adults with highly complex, multi-system health issues. Emphasizing critical care and advanced therapeutic interventions, the course covers conditions such as sepsis, organ failure, and critical cardiac and respiratory conditions. Students will refine their clinical reasoning and judgement skills to effectively coordinate care as a member of the healthcare team in high-acuity environments. The course prepares students for transition into professional nursing practice focusing on quality improvement, advanced technologies, equal access to care, and patient advocacy.
Prerequisite(s) Admission to the Nursing major. Successful completion of all fall senior semester nursing courses.
