NUR 4203 - Transition to Professional Nursing and CapstoneCredits: 8 This advanced comprehensive capstone course introduces students to issues that impact the role of the professional nurse such as ethical dilemmas, delegation, leadership, self-care, healthcare policy, and political interests. Students demonstrate the ability to synthesize and apply previous learned experiences from across the curriculum to nursing practice in the clinical setting. Preceptored clinical hours facilitate student practice in the role of the nurse as a leader in diverse healthcare settings with an intense focus on improving client outcomes. Students are guided through and prepared for taking the NCLEX-RN licensing exam. Prerequisite(s) Admission to the Nursing major. Successful completion of all fall senior semester nursing courses.
