EDU 2250 - Introduction to Special Education

Credits: 4
An overview of the major exceptionalities, including giftedness, learning disabilities, emotional- behavioral disorders, physical disabilities, speech and language disabilities, Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, visual impairments, and other related disabilities. Emphasis will be placed upon definition and educational interventions of school-age students as well as instructional supports such as 504 and IEP plans.
Prerequisite(s) EDU-1141 and EDU-2240/2140 with grades of C or higher
