HON 3150 - Enlighten

Credits: 4
Enlighten challenges Lumen Scholars to explore major literary works from Western and non-Western traditions through a global lens. The focus of the course will vary by semester and instructor. Central is the concept of local knowledge applied to global thinking, where students will explore how literary traditions, themes, and forms reflect regional histories while influencing broader global narratives. Through close reading, intertextual analysis, and interdisciplinary inquiry, students will examine how issues like identity, power, migration, and resistance are portrayed in literature.
Prerequisite(s) HON-2100
