DED 518 - Assessment for Deaf Learners Credits: 3 Prerequisites DED-511 This course explores the use of both formal and informal assessments in educational programs for Deaf learners. Emphasis is placed on administering, interpreting, and utilizing a variety of assessment tools to inform instructional decisions. The course highlights the role of assessments in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), designing effective instructional design strategies, and monitoring student progress. Unique considerations for Deaf learners are addressed, including culturally responsive assessment practices, accommodations, and modifications to ensure accurate evaluation and support for diverse learning needs.
