Art History Major

Required:

• AHY 1113 - History of Western Art I
• AHY 1114 - History of Western Art II

• Seven additional Art History courses, beyond AHY 1113 and AHY 1114, two of these courses must be global or international in nature.

• 4 credits – one course in studio art

• 4 credits – History of Ancient and Medieval Philosophy

• AHY 4492 - Seminar in Art History - Capstone Seminar

Note

It is beneficial for students wishing to pursue graduate studies in Art History to have two years of a foreign language, French or German, and a semester abroad.
