**Programs are available in French, German, and Spanish. Foreign Language (FRE, GER, or SPA)

1103 Elementary Foreign Language for Advanced Beginners Two foreign language courses at the 2000-level
Three foreign language courses at the 3000 level, one of which must be the Junior Writing course (WI)
One additional course OR one course taught in English such as:
Studying Abroad
One semester spent studying abroad with a minimum of a 12-week residency requirement (at least 60% of the credits must be taken in French, German or Spanish), or equivalent language immersion experience living and working in a French speaking country (at the discretion of the department and with prior approval), or one year in residence in the French language house on campus (1 credit/semester).
