Biology Major with Education Minor

Note that course requirements for the Education Minor are subject to change in order to meet Maryland State Department of Education certification regulations and accreditation requirements.

Elementary Certification

Students interested in teaching at the elementary level (grades 1-6) in Maryland public schools may major in any academic program at McDaniel College and complete a core set of elementary education requirements .

Secondary Certification

Students may earn Maryland certification in Biology at the secondary level (7-12)  by completing McDaniel College degree requirements and the following:
