The five-year program in Human Services Management is an opportunity for McDaniel undergraduate students, with any major, to complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees in five years. The Human Services Management five-year program prepares students to work in management positions within the non-profit arena. Students interested in this program should apply during their junior year. If accepted, candidates will be required to complete three graduate courses during their senior year, as well as a practicum with Target Community & Educational Services, Inc. (Target, Inc.). Target, Inc. is a non-profit agency providing residential, vocational and educational programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. During their fifth year, candidates will complete their graduate course requirements during the summer, fall and spring semesters while completing a one-year, live-in internship within a Target, Inc. home. During this internship, McDaniel College provides each student with a 75% tuition scholarship and Target, Inc. pays each student a $20,000 annual graduate stipend. Students also receive free room and board during their 12-month internship, as well as health-care, dental, and other generous employee benefits. Target’s webpage is www.targetcommunity.org. For more information on this program, contact Dr. Tom Zirpoli, Coordinator.
