Cognitive Science Minor

Return to: Academic Departments and Programs
The cognitive science minor requires three core classes: one from each of the three main contributing disciplines: biology, psychology and philosophy. It is very likely that one or two of these core classes will be taken to satisfy requirements for a first major. The remaining hours should be spread across the different electives, representing many of the different disciplines that contribute to our understanding of the mind/brain. The electives are roughly organized into two groups to aid student’s selection process. Students may wish to focus their efforts in one of these groups, but are not required to do so.
No more than 8 credits from any one area of study may count towards the minor.
