Note that course requirements for the Education Minor are subject to change in order to meet Maryland State Department of Education certification regulations and accreditation requirements.
Maryland certification in the teaching of world languages requires candidates to take and pass the Oral Proficiency Inventory (OPI) offered by the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). Candidates should contact the Teacher Placement Office in the Education Department for scheduling arrangements.

Secondary Certification
Students may earn Maryland certification in French at the PreK-12 level by completing McDaniel College degree requirements and the following: Education minor
