ENG 2230 - Beowulf to MaloryCredits: 4 This course surveys the major works of English literature from the Anglo-Saxon period to the early 16th century, with attention given to their literary technique and the ways in which the works are shaped by and respond to the cultures in which they were produced. In addition to Beowulf, students will explore works by Chaucer, the Gawain-poet, medieval women writers, Thomas Malory, and others.
