RDG 522 - Balanced Literacy Instruction Credits: 3 This course examines theoretical and practical issues related to the design and implementation of a comprehensive balanced literacy program. Candidates will critically analyze and implement developmentally appropriate instructional practices for phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. The course content addresses the organization and management of balanced reading instruction within the elementary school.
