SLM 502 - Organization and Access Credits: 3 This course examines the organization of evaluation of physical resources. Topics include facility design, intellectual freedom, policies and procedures, and cataloging. Candidates design library facilities that allow for equitable access to resources and services, collaborate on policies and procedures wiki, and acquire skill in cataloging, using MARC 21, subject heading, and the Dewey Decimal Classification system.
