CUR 514 - Explorations in Teacher Development

This course prepares candidates for teacher leadership roles in teams, peer coaching, professional learning, and curriculum development. They will explore historical perspectives on teacher development as well as current trends such as career pathways and the impact of policy on teachers’ efficacy and intrinsic motivation. Candidates will apply theories of adult learning and development to create a responsive approach for supporting teachers’ professional growth across the career span.
