SLM 506 - Collection Development Credits: 3 This course examines how to create a collection that supports the instructional needs and personal interests of all learners. Topics include school curriculum, selection tools, policies, and procedures for developing, maintaining, evaluating, and using the collection to engage learners. Candidates prepare a school analysis, curriculum chart, materials order, and evaluate a library by age, quantity, quality, and curriculum needs.
