SLM 550 - Professional Portfolio

Prerequisites SLM 501 and SLM 506
In this course, candidates create a website portfolio, demonstrating they have met the five standards for certification established by the 2019 ALA/AASL School Librarian Preparation Standards: (1) The Learner and Learning, (2) Planning for Instruction, (3) Knowledge and Application of Content, (4) Organization and Access, and (5) Leadership, Advocacy, and Professional Responsibility. Candidates align artifacts with the eighteen components of the standards, compose reflection statements, and collaborate with peers through the revision process.
