PUA 527 - Public Budgeting and Finance

This course examines public budgeting and finance from the public manager’s perspective. Students will be exposed to local government finance functions, the budget process, and the challenges of budget formulation, implementation, and evaluation through discussion, readings, and research. Assignments will focus on interpretation of budgets and demonstrating an understanding between the theory and practice of public finance.
