PUA 540 - Program Evaluation and Research Credits: 3 This course introduces the practical, theoretical, and ethical foundations of program evaluation as they are applied in the current evidence-based environment of the public and non-profit sectors. Program evaluation is examined as field of empirical inquiry as well as a profession. This course is designed to provide both a broad and rigorous overview of the tools available to evaluate the outcomes of programs and policies. Students have an opportunity to draft reports on topics of their choosing using a variety of qualitative and quantitative techniques.
