EDU 572 - National Board Certification, Part I


Credits: 3
This course builds the foundational knowledge and evidence-based practices of accomplished teachers in preparation for National Board Certification. Course content includes the science of learning, research-based instructional practices and trends and initiatives in assessment strategies/tools and evaluation aligned to the National Board Standards.  The effectiveness of these strategies will be utilized to measure their performance and implement evidence-based pedagogical practices to engage all learners in needs-based instruction. Candidates will engage in reflective practice as a core tenet of best instructional practices.  Candidates will also research and discuss the design of high-quality professional learning opportunities.
