Overview

Coordinator: Dr. Pamela Regis

The Online Graduate Certificate Program in Romance Writing is designed to create publishable writers in the extensive romance market. The certificate program offers a comprehensive approach to writing and incorporates an analysis of works by current and successful writers, informed practice in the craft of writing romance fiction, and opportunities to create manuscripts.  Candidates actively participate in a collaborative and supportive learning environment where they learn and implement a variety of successful writing strategies, including the art of using feedback, reflection, and revision, and where they create a strong professional network to help them meet their publishing objectives.

Each course, lasting 8 weeks, is taught by experts: respected writers, editors, and romance scholars.  Upon successful completion of the 5 courses, candidates receive the Certificate in Writing Romance.  These courses will count toward a Master of Liberal Arts degree if they are taken for credit.
